Sous le Puits is Puligny's highest premier cru — up in the hamlet of Blagny at around 300 metres, where the vines meet the forest. The Bachelet parcel is old, many vines past seventy years, and Jasper Morris reads the paradox that produces: a rich, almost candied centre that a steely, cool core reasserts on the finish. The 2023 comes from the domaine's first vintage certified organic by ECOCERT — native yeasts and the house's long élevage — and was rated 91-93 by Vinous, 91-94 by Morris.
