Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains what limited personal data The Empty Drops collects, why, and what rights you have. The Empty Drops is a private project run by an individual, not a company, and does not sell products or process payments through this website.
Who is responsible
The Empty Drops is operated by a private individual. For any question about this policy or your data, write to info@theemptydrops.com.
What data is collected
Two kinds only. First, if you choose to contact the cellar or ask to be kept on the private list, the email address and any details you send. Second, anonymous usage data collected through analytics (see the Cookie Policy), such as pages viewed and approximate region, which does not identify you personally.
Why it is used
Contact details are used solely to reply to your enquiry and, if you asked, to keep you informed about the cellar. Analytics data is used only to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
Legal basis
Where you contact the cellar or ask to join the list, the basis is your consent and, where relevant, the steps taken at your request. Analytics relies on consent given through the cookie banner.
How long it is kept
Contact details are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry or, for the list, until you ask to be removed. You can ask for deletion at any time.
Who it is shared with
Email is handled through standard email services. Anonymous analytics is processed by Google Analytics (see Cookie Policy). Released bottles are transacted through CruTrade, which operates under its own privacy terms. No other sharing takes place.
The quiet list
If you ask to join the quiet list, your name and email address are stored with MailerLite (SIA "Mailerlite", EU), our email service provider, solely to send occasional notes about the archive — when a Field Note is written or a bottle is released, and rarely otherwise. Joining requires a confirmed opt-in; every message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address. Your address is never shared beyond this provider and is never used for anything else.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your data, to withdraw consent, or to object to its use, by writing to info@theemptydrops.com. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority; in Spain this is the AEPD (www.aepd.es).

This policy may be updated. The date above shows the last revision.
